The value a Super User Program offers an organization is invaluable. That is why it is so important to have the Super User Program be sustainable.
As we stated in a previous post on Sustainable Super User programs, a solid Super User Model begins and ends with meeting the needs of the Super User. So, what does a Super User need?
- Communication channels with all stakeholders
- Training
- Support
- Documentation
- Tools (technology/product)
- Recognition
Although recognition is listed last, it is absolutely not the least important. It has been said that recognition in the workplace is among the best methods to improve work motivation and engagement. One minute of recognition can equal a hundred minutes of initiative in return.
As Ginger Luttrell stated in her recent post on the SAPinsight Facebook Page, “Today I recognize the value of you, the SAP Super User! You serve your users mostly in a volunteer capacity while still keeping up your performance in your primary job! You are amazing, thank you!”
In the spirit of recognizing Super Users, SAPinsight has created a Super User Corner.
“We are adding a dedicated section in our newsletter to profile one Super User per month who has made a difference and had a great impact…”
And sign up on our mailing list to stay up to date on what’s happening in your Super User community.
SAPinsight provides community through a forum, webinars, regional huddles and an annual national conference. These different communication channels and venues share information on processes and tools specific to the SAP Super User’s needs. Sharing in a community provides recognition by letting everyone know that no one is alone.
